A series of free form organic shapes on 12 x 12in (30 x 30cm) square and 8 x 24in (20 x 60cm) watercolor boards featuring gold leaf shapes and integral hand-cut matting. Intended for close-up viewing in intimate spaces, these art pieces were small in size and finely detailed.

Thought about canvas proportions in relation to nominal glass and mat board sizes, and how mat board design could be an integral part of the experience as a whole. Also outlined basic concepts in thumbnail sketches - some with notes.
