The typical Eugenean was hard to distinguish among the migratory breeds that passed through Eugene, Oregon culture in the 1980s. My seven years of study among the upper Willamette Valley inhabitants, however, qualified me to identify the elusive species by several distinct characteristics in this illustration for a student newspaper article on the subject.
