Oregon Daily Emerald newspaper readers hankering for board games in 1981 had some popular new selections like 'Assassin', 'Junta', 'Escape from New York', 'Mt. St. Helens', 'Class Struggle' and 'Capital Punishment.'

My graphic for the article proposed a new diversionary board game about World War III. It was a satire of the nuclear arms race and cold war tensions being played out at the time between the US and Soviet Union.

The objective of this fun-for-all-ages game was to squander as many resources as you possibly can to out escalate your opponents and control the world before someone drops THE BIG ONE.
